Well now I'm annoyed. I was all set to just jump in my car and disappear with my girlfriend for a long weekend of ocean waves, scuba, and sunshine today when I found that I needed a new pair of neoprene diving gloves. It's my fault really. I didn't put them away securely after the last time and my dog decided that they would make a good chew toy. Learn form my mistakes, everyone. Your scuba gear is the first thing that you should definitely be sure to take good care of. Because when you want it, you want it now. At least, that's the way it tends to go for me. Not much for planning.

My girlfriend always tells me that I should plan things in advance. That's why we get along so well. It's not the similarities that help. It's the differences. We compliment each other. She is a planner. And she says that things would go more smoothly if I followed her lead on that. I wouldn't argue that there is some truth to the statement. I just never expected that it would effect my neoprene diving gloves is all.
But if I had put my neoprene diving gloves away properly in the first place, this wouldn't even be an issue. I could just kick myself for that. And of course, if I had given this whole excursion more than a minute's worth of planning, things might have gone differently there too. But all I can say about it is that thinking ahead just isn't my thing. It takes away from the spontaneity of life. And the little joys that come along with that like this neoprene diving gloves incident. But you take ythe good with the bad sometimes.
Isn't it nice to just go? Just get up and decide that you want to do something in particular, call in sick to work, and start driving. That's the way that I have always done things. My girlfriend says that it makes her nervous because she never knows where she'll end up whenever the weekend rolls around. I think she secretly loves it though. And she would be loving it right this minute if I didn't need to think about where to get another pair of neoprene diving gloves in a hurry now.
Not to worry about me though. Just a minor setback. That's all. I'm still going to get out of here today. I have my mind set on some scuba before the day is out. I know exactly where I want to go, my bags are packed. My girlfriend's bags are packed too, so she is ready to be dragged. I just need to figure out where the closest place is for me to go and get neoprene diving gloves on the quick is. Just have to do a quick search around and I am out of here!
